Her work strives to capture the timelessness and spiritual qualities of the land. She finds Bundeena, with its diverseness of visual pleasure, very inspiring. Her work is also a medium for communicating messages or thoughts and comments, as she always tries to pass on more than something “nice” to look at. She works through acrylic, oil, pastel and a variety of mixed media. A mother of two, Corinne also has the knack of turning children's artwork into works of art. She uses the child’s original doodling and pre school artwork as an inspiration to produce a collage of colour, form and texture that can remain as a family heirloom and a lifetime memory of your child’s “artistic talents” during their early drawing years. This often has the effect of encouraging a “young artist” as they see their pictures come alive in a professional format that makes them very proud. Corinne studied at Sydney College of the Arts in the 80’s. She worked shortly as a freelance artist before becoming side-tracked by raising a family and partnering in a home based business. Since 1998 she has begun painting more seriously and is now involved in the Bundeena Art Community and the Art Trail. |
