MARION STEHOUWER (Sunday)
WHEEL THROWING
If you have never tried the addictive process of throwing on a potters wheel, then join Marions workshop where she will demonstrate wheel throwing incorporating coloured clay.
The times will be as follows:
11am
12pm
1pm
2pm
If you don’t wish to be part of the interactive workshop, then you are welcome to just come along for a look (though you will be missing out on all the fun)!
TONY FRAGAR (Sunday drop in sessions)
RENDERING WITH WATER
Water’s translucence, movement and light reflective quality can make it a difficult subject for the artist.
Watercolour washes (overlaid in exciting and unexpected colours) on paper can be a good start, as long as you understand that with this medium, the white elements are in fact the blank paper.
Working from a selection of supplied photographs of water, you will be guided in painting your own A5 water painting.
Tony will help you choose a title for your artwork indicating the particular power or mood of water that you have captured. “Water Has the Power to Mesmerise” is one of endless titles that may spring to mind.
Your rendering in water could make a lovely personalised gift or, folded in half, a hand painted gift card.
